Anyone else here a fan of MMA? I myself train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai for roughly about a year now.

I had a brief stint in MMA about 8 years ago (blew out my knee in training). I've trained on and off since I was 8. I have 4 years of Japanese Jujutsu and Shaolin Kempo, 2 years Muay Thai, and 3 years of Pugilism.
Personally, I always preferred to watch boxing, I don't know why but it just seems more entertaining to me. ^.^

One of my personal trainers was in the MMA, and I've watched UFC a bit. I'm not a huge violence fan. Scott is teaching me Shotokan Karate though. He is a 4th degree blackbelt.

Awesome!

I'm doing this as a long term commitment. Helps me focus.

Lyoto Machida is my favorite MMA practitioner. Scott may be heard of him? He trains in Shotokan Karate and is currently the Light Heavyweight champ for the UFC. I'm going to UFC 104 which is in Los Angeles. Lyoto is defending his belt!

He said he hasn't heard of him. Lyoto definitely sounds like a cool fighter though. I hope you have a great time there!
